BLT Biolight ECG Cable Compatibility and Generation Guide
BLT Biolight patient monitors use several different ECG cable connector types. The correct ECG cable should be selected according to the monitor model, connector type, cable generation, and whether the monitor requires a newer cable version with an identification chip.
This page lists general information about common BLT Biolight ECG cable types in the maintenance and replacement market, including older DIN 6-pin ECG cables, later modular connector cables, and newer ECG cables with encryption chip.
1. Older BLT Biolight ECG Cables: DIN 6-Pin Type
Some early BLT Biolight patient monitors used a DIN 6-pin ECG cable. This type was commonly used on older models, such as Biolight M6, M12, and M69 patient monitors.

2. BLT Biolight M7000, M8000, and M9500 ECG Cables
Later BLT Biolight monitors used their own modular ECG cable connector design. This connector type is used on models such as Biolight M7000, M8000, and M9500.

3. BLT Biolight Q3, Q5, and Q7 ECG Cables
BLT Biolight Q series monitors, including Q3, Q5, and Q7, may use a different ECG cable connector from the M series models. The monitor model and connector should be checked before selecting a replacement ECG cable.

4. Newer BLT Biolight ECG Cables with Encryption Chip
Around after 2019, some BLT Biolight monitors started to use newer ECG cables with an identification or encryption chip inside the connector. Because of this change, older ECG cable versions may not work correctly on some newer monitors or monitors with updated system software.
The outside connector may look similar, but the internal cable version may be different. For these models, a newer ECG cable version with the required chip may be necessary.

5. Compatibility Notes
BLT Biolight ECG cables should be selected according to the monitor model, connector type, ECG cable generation, and whether the monitor requires a newer cable with an identification chip.
- Confirm the BLT Biolight patient monitor model.
- Check whether the monitor uses the older DIN 6-pin ECG cable or a later modular connector.
- Compare the ECG cable connector shape with the original cable.
- Confirm whether the monitor requires a newer ECG cable with encryption chip.
- Check whether the cable is 3-lead, 5-lead, or another lead configuration.
- Use the original cable part number or connector photo to reduce selection mistakes.
